Sunday 21st February 1864 AD. Crown soldiers went around Maori warriors and attacked defenceless old people, women and children in the Waikato War, in New Zealand. They ran to the church for sanctuary. They were shot dead and others inside were burnt alive. 80% of the actors in this film are descendants from the slaughtered tribes of that day. A boy escaped from Rangiaowhia. The boy re-enacting his part is a blood relation. The creator of this film Uncle Rick (U.R) is an Apotoro Wairua (Apostle of the Spirit) learning of the korero in 1998.

A Masters exegesis and in-depth research on this event and the SPIRIT of Maori WAIRUA was completed at Massey University. The Book ‘Te Pakeha GOD’ is the living history of Aotearoa New Zealand... ‘Te Pakeha GOD’ is the truth that was never told. This abomination was the turning point of WAIRUA history where Te Arawa Chief Kereopa Te Rau sought utu (revenge) for the loss of his two daughters, in the fire, and the murder of his wife and sister. Kereopa captured missionary Carl Sylvius Volker. Volkner who was hung, decapitated, his eyes eaten and in his own church. Kereopa drank his blood in Holy Communion to bastardise the Christian ‘Te Pakeha GOD.’

Whatihua a tupuna of Kauwhata married Apakura. Ngaati Apakura were butchered and burnt alive at Rangiaowhia. ‘Te Pakeha GOD’ is the living memory of these descendants. Ngaati Apakura tupuna, old men, women and children are UN-buried their blood seeping in the land. Murdered, they have no land, no soul, no belonging. The descendants today are the tortured living suffering inter-generational trauma, tell the story of the loved ones denied by the Government that they ever existed, for over 150 years.
